Welcome to Free Movie Monday. Today’s movie is Adventures in Babysitting, starring Elisabeth Shue (Back to the Future II and III). As a babysitter is just starting her job for the evening she gets a call from her friend who is at the bus station in the city and needs a ride home. Having no one else to depend on the babysitter reluctantly takes the kids with her to pick up the friend. Their adventure in the big city of Chicago begins when they get a flat tire on the freeway and a shady-looking tow truck driver helps them out. They must make their way through the city, avoiding car thiefs, gangs, frat boys and many other obstacles before they can get the friend from the bus station and make it home before the mom and dad find out what’s been going on.
Family Friendly Content Warning: Rated PG-13 by the MPAA. It was probably close to a PG rating if it weren’t for two “F” words. The parents guide on the Internet Movie Database is accurate and provides a complete description of potentially offensive content.
